Agency Relationships

Rahim Charania is licensed real estate salesperson under the Realty Firm Inc. Brokerage.

Real estate brokerages are governed by the legal concept of “Agency” and are required to describe the various types of agency relationships to all potential buyers and sellers. Potential buyers or sellers are therefore asked to acknowledge that they understand the different types of agency relationships by signing an Agency Relationship Brochure which real estate brokerages are required to keep on file for inspection by RECO.

In order to avoid “Multiple Representation”, Rahim Charania prefers to represent one party to a transaction and provides “Customer Service” to the other party or parties unless such other party is represented by another Brokerage.

Prior to each assignment, we will discuss our agency relationship with all potential buyers and sellers and then present each party with the appropriate Representation Agreement for execution.

Money Laundering and Terrorist Prevention

In accordance with the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act, the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (“FINTRAC”) requires that all real estate brokerages conduct “Client Identification” and “Client Verification” of all existing and new clients and/or customers in connection with all real estate transactions whether they close or not.
